START UP ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (SEDP)

SEDP places priority on South African Women/Youth/People with Disabilities owned and managed enterprises based in townships and/or rural areas that are tax compliant and have the potential or capacity to supply goods and services to public and private sector, local, provincial and national government departments on a sustainable basis.


The programme offers a 100% grant of a maximum of two hundred thousand rand (R500 000) to eligible applicants.


The minimum amount that an applicant can apply for is fifty thousand rand (R50 000).


The grant may be used to acquire qualifying new machinery, equipment, tools, specialised tools and raw materials.
